Alpaca Ties

A few hair jigs tied with alpaca wool.  The wool is incredibly soft and fine with good length.  Hair fibers are hollow which make them buoyant.

There is chance that I'll be dying some of the white wool to create several different colors in the future.  So, stay tuned...

  1. Alpaca fur would be so cool to work with, looks like it has alot of body.

  2. Thank you for your comment. Alpaca wool has hollow fibers that appear bulky, yet thin out when wet. It is incredibly soft hair which makes for a nice-moving jig in the water.

  3. Those are outstanding! The long skinny leather tail should have some great action. Those are screaming walleye to me. Very Nice!

    1. Thank you for your comment. Would like to fish these in areas containing walleye or sauger, just to see how they'd fare.
